t*NEW LIBRARY FURNITURE is now in the lobby area! Through memorials and fund-raising, we were able to purchase a leather couch and two leather chairs for the library. Stop by and sit a spell and enjoy our new additions. This new furniture really adds to the beauty of our library.
*Make sure to join us on Saturday, APRIL 25, at St. Maurice’s Catholic Church for our 3rd annual FESTIVAL OF TABLES. The doors will open at 11:00 a.m. and the luncheon will be served at 11:45 a.m. Tickets for the event -- which will include luncheon, coffee/lemonade, and dessert are only $10.00.
This year’s entertainment will be a PURSE RAFFLE/AUCTION. Here’s how it will work: there will be a number of purses on the tables. For .50/ticket, you can bid on any or all of the purses ... the real fun will be when you open the purse and discover what you have bought. Maybe it will be a gift card... maybe skin care products... maybe wine.. You just never know what will be in the purse! It should be a fun entertaining day! Make plans now to get some friends together and join us!
Are you interested in taking part in this activity by hosting a table? So far we have 9 tables but we have room for more. Please consider hosting this year! Last year’s event was a great success with tables with themes of coffee, silver and gold, picnic, birthday party, down on the farm -- to name a few. Be creative!
Clear plates for the luncheon will be provided. All you have to do is decorate your table w/ a theme and provide a dessert. Contact Char Blumer or Georgia Berg if you would like to sponsor a table. We need to get an idea of how many tables will be needed, and how many tickets that can be sold. And be sure to contact either of them if you have any questions or other ideas.
E-mail contacts: Char Blumer, 428-3074 charb@abmnow.com Georgia Berg, 428-3166?or georgia_berg@yahoo.com?

Please join us as a VOLUNTEER at the Kindred Public Library. Everyone can do something!! Muriel Evenson is always looking for new volunteers.. It’s easy, fun and you pick the time! We need people to help with the front desk, cleaning, and working at special events.
